National League Football rookies are a rare breed. Some are amazing and some fall flat on their face. Some are huge busts (Ryan Leaf, anyone?), while others turn out to be future Hall of Famers (cough, Tom Brady, cough). The thing about the NFL rookie is you don’t know what you’ve got until they have laced up their cleats, thrown on their shoulder pads, and bashed their helmets into other players. Just because there is that I don’t know factor about certain players doesn’t mean that some fantasy football players won’t name their teams after them. What are some of the best fantasy football team names from the 2014 crop of rookies?

Silence! I Khalil You
The second defensive player selected in the 2014 NFL Draft was Khalil Mack, the product of Buffalo. The Oakland Raiders selected the linebacker and this team name is based off one of the catchphrases from the Jeff Dunham comedy skit.

Monica Loves Clinton Dix
One of the biggest news stories in American history occurred when William Clinton was in the president of the United States. Our president engaged in some shady actions with intern Monica Lewinsky, and the rest is complete history now. Now, years later, we can all laugh at it again as the Green Bay Packers drafted Ha Ha Clinton-Dix from Alabama.

Send in the Clowneys
The No. 1 pick of the 2014 NFL Draft is the man that will be responsible for turning the Houston Texans defense around from being a laughingstock to a top tier unit. Jadeveon Clowney is that man and along with J.J. Watt and Brian Cushing will be relied upon to do big things for the Texans.

Fourth and Snort
One of the most notable and talked about players of the 2014 NFL Draft class was Mr. Football, Johnny Manziel. The 2012 Heisman Trophy winner stayed on the board until the Cleveland Browns used the 22nd overall pick to draft the former Texas A&M product. This team name may be vulgar for some, but others will enjoy the laughter it instills.

Origami Johnny
Here’s the thing about this name. It makes complete sense when you think about the things Manziel does on the football field, but on the other hand, it isn’t like he is Stretch Armstrong, or is he? The only way we will find that out is when he takes the field.

Sweep the Leg Johnny Manziel
When you decide to name your fantasy football team after a rookie, there are many different ways you can go. When it comes to this name, what you are doing is creating a pun out of his name. The party boy is going to have a tough go in the NFL, but these fantasy owners will believe in his ability.

Keepin’ It Manziel
Since he was drafted, Manziel has kept it real. He hasn’t hidden the fact that he likes to party with celebrities and other athletes and he may never hide it. The level in which he continues to party will alter what path his career goes. Does he become like Brett Favre, who gave up partying after a few seasons, or does he keep going? Either way, he will be keepin’ it Manziel.

Just Me and my New Teddy
Teddy Bridgewater was another quarterback selected in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The talented player from Louisville will be the man in the backfield for the Minnesota Vikings, who have surrounded him with a bit of talent. This team name on the other hand is perfect for female fantasy players looking to give the men in their league a nice visual.

Michael Sam I Am
Depending on who was asked Michael Sam had the talent to be an early round draft pick. Then he came out of the closet as a homosexual and his stock dropped to where he was selected with the 249th pick. People will remember Sam-I-Am as a character in the Dr. Seuss story, Green Eggs and Ham.

Brandin Cooks Cajun
When the New Orleans Saints selected Brandin Cooks, wide receiver, from Oregon State, they opened up a new world for the native of Stockton, Calif. After his first meal in the Big Easy, I’m sure he never looked back again.

Dueling Shaq’s
One thing that was overlooked in the draft was that there were two players named Shaq drafted with Shaq Evans getting selected by the Jets and cornerback Shaquille Richardson being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Whether one of these players can reach the height of Shaquille O’Neal remains to be seen.

Johnny Unite Us
Out of all the Manziel-related team names we here at Fantasy Football Team Names have seen, this is our favorite. Johnny Unitas was of course one of the best football players of all time and this name works perfectly for the city of Cleveland. After years of despair, there is suddenly hope again with LeBron James and Johnny Manziel.

We'll be taking more looks at fantasy names related to the rookie class of 2014 as the preseason (and regular season for matter) unfold.
